DBN, ASBA Partner to Empower MSMEs through 8th Entrepreneurship Training Programme.

The Development Bank of Nigeria(DBN) in strategic partnership with Anambra State Small Business Agency(ASBA), has announced a call for applications for the 8th edition of the Development Bank of Nigeria Entrepreneurship Training Programme (DBN-ETP).
This call was made during a virtual sensitization meeting held recently at the Agency.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr Fortune Tamunokoro the Programme anchor explained that the 8th edition of DBN- ETP has been carefully designed to balance reach, logistics and impact nationwide with in-person training sessions in 12 states across two phases.

He explained that the first phase scheduled for June 2026 will cover Anambra, Edo, Ondo, Adamawa, Kwara and Kaduna states, while the second phase slated for November 2026 will take place in Imo, Akwa-Ibom, Lagos, Gombe, Federal Capital Territory(FCT) and Kebbi.

According to DBN,3000 participants are expected per state with 50 MSMEs selected for the physical workshop and 15 grant winners emerging from each state.
“To qualify for the June 2026 in-person training in Anambra, applicants must;
– Complete an Expression of Interest form
– Onboard on the Learning Management System (LMS/BizAid)
– Enroll and complete four mandatory online courses and score at least 80% in each
– Ensure proper documentation”.

Mr Fortune noted that the programme is open to small business owners, CAC registered businesses as well as Cooperatives and associations(clusters) with CAC registration required before grant disbursement.

“Participants stand to benefit free entrepreneurship training delivered both online and in-person, the chance to win N8.25 million in grants for 15 beneficiaries per state, access to N50 million in cash prizes and incentives and networking opportunities with MSMEs and business experts” he said.

Additionally, DBN-ETP is particularly suited for youths and tech-savvy entrepreneurs, as the initial stages are fully online before advancing to the physical.
